Housings, Covers and OEM Assemblies

The Suzhou manufacturing team fabricates machine equipment enclosures to buyer drawings. The team combines laser cutting, CNC bending, welding, finishing, assembly and project-level quality control under one accountable owner.

Custom fabrication, a standard box or a complete enclosure system?

A machine enclosure enquiry can describe very different purchases. One buyer needs sheet metal housings fitted to an existing machine design. Another needs a standard electrical box with modifications. A third needs a complete enclosure around equipment, including system design and site work. Start by identifying which deliverable you need.

This page covers drawing-based sheet metal housings, covers and OEM assemblies for machinery and industrial equipment. The manufacturing team reviews the fabricated components against your machine design. It is not a catalogue of standard electrical boxes, and a request for a machine enclosure does not establish that a complete installed system is included.

For a replacement cover or an individual housing, identify the component to be fabricated and the existing equipment it must fit. For a multi-part enclosure, identify whether the quotation is for separate panels and doors, a panel set, or an assembled housing. Separate the metalwork from the hardware, machine components and installation work so each responsibility can be reviewed explicitly.

If your requirement depends on a particular sealing, safety or other performance specification, identify it before the fabrication scope is agreed. A material or finish choice alone does not establish a rated enclosure. The project requirements and the supplier's confirmed scope need to be reviewed together.

For other drawing-based parts supplied alongside a housing, see custom sheet metal fabrication. Use the enclosure-specific preparation and acceptance section below to define the housing requirements.

Machine enclosure quote preparation

Describe the machine or assembly and the housings, covers or OEM parts you need.

If available, share drawings with revision identifiers, overall dimensions, mounting interfaces, door and access openings, material requirements, estimated quantities, and the finish or appearance to match.

Identify any clearance, sealing or safety requirements that need to be reviewed against your drawings.

If you do not have drawings yet, describe the application and the details you still need to confirm.

Material, tolerances, finish and delivery terms must be confirmed for the project before an order is agreed.

Define interfaces, doors and acceptance evidence

Mark the mounting datums, hole patterns and mating parts that determine enclosure fit. For doors and removable panels, identify hinge and latch interfaces, opening direction, required access clearance, and any gap or alignment limits on the drawing. State which hardware you will supply and which items you want included in the quotation.

Before approving a sample, agree which critical dimensions and assembly interfaces will be checked, whether mating parts or a fixture are needed, and what records you require, such as measured results, fit-check photos or door-operation video. Confirm the available inspection method, acceptance criteria and reporting scope with the supplier before ordering.

For repeat orders, reference the approved drawing and model revisions, hardware list and finish requirements. Identify changes since the accepted sample and ask whether they require renewed fit checks before production.

Compare drawing revision, quantity, finish, hardware, inspection, packaging and delivery responsibility with the sheet metal fabrication cost and quote scope guide.
